I am very keen on shares and investments, spend a lot

Proposal to stagger, reduce new fees sent to administration
".. SCORES of residents at Nanyang Technological University's Hall Three are refusing to move into its new premises until the fees are revised, said the hostel's president.
.
Last month, NTU announced its proposed fee hikes. There was strong resistance, especially from Hall Three residents. The increase for them is the highest as they will be moving into a new seven-storey building complete with "premium" features such as air-conditioners, lifts and electronic card access.
.
According to Hall Three's president Lim Joo Tian, 23, a third-year Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering student, some 640 residents were supposed to move over from the old hostel — which was built more than two decades ago — to the new Hall Three by the start of this month.
.
But as of yesterday, more than half had not done so, he said.
.
Today understands that the students want the university to reduce the proposed fee hike and to stagger it.
.... .
Mr Luke How, 24, a final-year Biological Sciences student who was the previous president of Hall Three, told Today that the residents want the raised fees to be nearer to those
indicative rates. ..."
Proposed bridge will link NTU campus community to town, students to get U-Haven
" GETTING to shopping malls, cafes and other amenities will be easier for Nanyang Technological University (NTU) students come 2008.
.
At a media briefing yesterday, MP for Hong Kah GRC John Chen announced that he supported the Housing Development Board's proposal for a University Activities Bridge (UAB) across the Pan Island Expressway linking Jurong West to NTU.
.
Said Dr Chen: "We should increase the linkage and relationship between NTU and the Nanyang division. This physical linkage will be a good start."
.
NTU is 15 to 20 minutes by bus from Boon Lay interchange.
.
The UAB will comprise a pedestrian overhead bridge linking the campus to a 9,000 sq ft shopping mall. It will also be linked to U-Haven — or University-Haven — a 10-minute walk away via a proposed park connector.
.
The 70,000 sq ft U-Haven is based on the model of Holland Village as a self-contained
cluster of shops, eateries, bookstores, tuition centres and a flea market.
.
The tenders for these projects will be called in the first half of this year. . . . "

A jobless man applied for the position of 'office boy' at Microsoft. The HR manager interviewed him, then gave him a test: clean the floor. The man passed the test with flying colors.
"You are hired," HR manager informed the applicant, "give me your e-mail address, and I'll send you the application for employment, as well as the date
you should report for work.
The man replied " I don't have a computer, or an email!"
"I'm sorry," said the HR manager. "If you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And we cannot hire persons who do not exist."
The man was very disappointed. He didn't know what to do. He only had $10 with him. Once that is spent, he won't have any money to buy any food. He went to the supermarket and bought a crate of tomatoes with his $10. He went from door to door and sold the tomatoes in less than two hours. He doubled his money. He repeated the operation three times, and returned home with $60. He realized that he can survive this way. He started to go everyday earlier, and return late. He doubled or tripled his money every day. Soon, he bought a cart, then a truck. In a very short time, he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.
Five years later, the man became one of the biggest food retailers in the U. S. He started to plan his family's future,
and decided to have a life insurance. He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan. At the end of the conversation, the broker asked him for his email address.
The man replied: ' I don't have an email.'
The broker was dumbfounded. "You don't have an email, and yet have succeeded in building an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an email?," he exclaimed.
The man thought for a while, and replied, "an office boy at Microsoft!"
