Hi peeps

Andy from the guy's team here. as i'm alr adjusting well to my new paddle and decided it's good for me, i'm putting up my previous paddle for grab. Basically it's juz 4 month old (the guys team ordered together at the beginning of holiday b4 Nat Champ) and the condition is mint. i figured it's no use lying around unused.

Its length is 200 and feather (the blade angle) is 80 degree, pretty much universal so to speak. the blade is kinetic, so it's smaller than the Max blade (like Bing Ying's). the length and paddle fit very well to both guys and girls, pretty much regardless of your size and strength (unless you're a hardcore keeper who die die wants 206 and 90 degree). it was purchased at $485 and now i'm letting it go at 380, my loss is your gain.

Anyone interested can give it a try. juz let me (or Lizard, if you're from the girl's team) know. btw it's the bracsa with 2 orange sharks on the back of the blades.

Best regards,
Andy

Hi girls!

November
- We'll be having our last official training this Sunday, 8 Nov before breaking for the exams.
- We wanted to continue to train officially for one more week but I suppose that would be quite crazy seeing as the guys are ending this Sunday and all halls are ceasing activities this week as well.
- We won't cancel pool slots during mugging period so if anyone wants to destress and paddle around, you're free to do so. Lizard will come down if there are at least 5 of us.

- We won't be having stroke correction on Wednesday, 11 Nov because the dance rooms are fully booked.

December
- We'll resume training on Sunday, 6 December.

- We'll be holding a ladies canoepolo clinc for the NUS population on Friday, 11 December from 9am - 12nn. You guys may have seen the advertisement "CANOE POLO COWABUNGA" on IVLE. There are still some slots left, so please spread the word to your female friends and ask them to sign up at nuscanoepolo@... Joyce and Wanqing are in-charge of organizing this. They'll update everyone on meeting time and roles soon.

- We'll be having our rules course (intro for the juniors, refresher for the seniors) on Sunday, 13 December after pool slot from 4-6pm at SRC Conference Room.

- Stroke correction in December is still tentative because the dance room is only available on Thursdays. Still waiting for a reply from the guys as to whether we can swop our Wed & Thurs pool slots.

Mug hard (grar) and take care!

Hi everyone,

We will be starting on the shed maintenance this Sunday. The girls will be doing the cleaning every 2nd Sunday of the month, while the guys will do it on the 4th Sunday of every month.

The QMs will source for the brooms and other cleaning equipment.

Here are the tasks for this weekend:
1. Cleaning of entire shed
- Removing of all debris and dead leaves from the brick area of the shed
- Clearing stagnant water collected, anywhere and everywhere
- Washing and removing of stains (such as the one behind the boat rack, near the fence)

2. Taping of boat racks
- Use blue yoga mat and contact glue to tape the bottom bars of all racks. This is to reduce scratch and contact damages to the kayaks.
- Tape all the bottom racks (2 sides x 2 bars x 5 racks)

The standard set by the girls will be used as a benchmark for subsequent maintenance. Therefore, do the best you can to make the place clean and tidy. The guys will settle the labeling of boat racks and taping of 3 of the racks. The girls will be in charge of taping the remaining 2 racks. I will notify you again next week.

Extras: Our boats will be assigned a specific location on the boat rack in future. Boats will also be assigned to individual players. This is to improve on the accountability of items. This will happen once our racks are padded within these 2 weeks.

Thanks.

Tak

hey girls,

we'll be having AGM after recess week, I'll try to hold it on a Tuesday at 8pm cos i think alot of you have classes that end at 9pm on Thursday.

Is Oct 7 okay with you all?
Please reply asap, crooks to me, blizzards to huiyi so we can book the conference room.

This AGM is particularly important because we'll be have decision accouncements and well as elections; many of the crooks who are holding positions are flying off so we'll need to get someone to step up and fill their spots.

Also, crooks, i need you all to decide if you want to keep training and competitng, and if you're staying on, are you staying on as teamNUS or alumni players. I know it may be a tough decision... there's plenty of time for deliberation till AGM so start considering okay?

We'll need to let everyone know of these decisions during this coming AGM and perhaps start training real soon if we're staying or we'll lose whatever muscles we have!

Another thing: Crooks, please let huiyi know if you guys are going for Sports Awards; both yuxuan and ah long are getting prizes!

be good!
