Sorry to hear about your loss.

Yes Hazel, for S'pore tapwater, you have to add anti-chlorine &
chloroamine or else your fishes will die.
They can be easily found in the fish shop.

You can add a pinch of aquarium salt, try not to add those salt that
we have in the kitchen because some might have iodine added which
also might be harmful to your fishes.

How big is your tank? What filteration?

Hi Hazel,

Welcome to our group!

There are many places to acquire guppies, just make sure that they
are healthy in the first place.

Guppies thrive in aged, neutral to slightly alkaline water. Slow
acclimatization to your tank water will help them to survive in your
tank.
You can also read up from various guppy websites for more
information.

Derrick,
I haven't visited this group for awhile. Missed your alert. I would
have loved to go on such a trip. Anyway, saturday is a no no for me.
Have to "ton chiak" (make a living). You must have enjoyed your tour.

Chris,
How about organising a special guppy farm visit in the name of GCS.
GCS could write to the Singapore Aquarium Fish Exporter Association
and through them ask their members who breeds guppies to allow us
visitation??? This could be a very welcomed club event.
