This Local Divers Group is started with the aim of helping me to organise local dive trips in a more efficient and cost saving method... We are a group of underwater photographers who chat frequently on ClubSNAP, a local photography online forum, from year 2002. In year 2003, because there are a significant number of us making too much noise and chats, we managed to get ourselves a usergroup subforum, Underwater Photography Subforum, on ClubSNAP, hoho... From Oct/Nov 2004, we started to dive Pulau Hantu quite frequently. It was meant for us to "get compressed" during the monsoon season, but we have found so many treasures in our own waters! Nudibranches, flatworms, cuttlefishes, octopus, cuttlefish etc etc etc ... that we have decided to carry on our local diving even after the monsoon season has passed... =) As of now, we have expanded to dive at Pulau Salu, an island near Pulau Sudong (i think), and is a dive site covered with hard and soft corals. We wish to dive other local reefs, and also not just ClubSNAP members that we are including in our divers list. Hence this Local Divers Group will also include those not on the ClubSNAP subforum (but do still go there and have a look! We have lots of uw photos there =))), and hopefully help in my administration and coordination of dive trips, some local marine environmental updates now and then, and also allow the divers to maintain contact.
