Seedlings Fission is a Youth Expedition Project to the place of west timor indonesia.. we will be there, hoping to bring the villagers out of their poverty cycle..

Seedlings refer to a young plant that has grown from a seed. It would generally reflect the scope of our project. As the team would only be there for 14 days, be it to introduce the Cashew nuts seeds or to teach English, we have to admit is quite minimal that we could do. But we will not be there just to give them English language or cashew nut seeds. We would be also working hard on our project with our best effort hoping that we could see seedlings (results) before we end our project there.

After we have planted the seedlings for the village (after we have left the project), we would believe that the seedlings can eventually grow into a very tall and mighty tree that could bare fruits, if only the villagers themselves could continue working on the seedlings we gave to them. We are just there to give them a foundation, if they would want to see “fruits” from the project, they would have to continue working on it.



Fission is a process in a nuclear reaction where the effect on one atom would cause the other atoms to start to react. In another term, it could be thought of as a chain reaction. We are hoping that this project could be also a chain reaction where the knowledge of English language and goal setting skills we gave to them would be fission (spread) to their peers and siblings. So does the cashew nuts and mango trees project, we hope that the seeds and the idea that we gave to them would be spread to other parts of the village identical to a fission reaction. This is the first Seedlings fission project, fission could also mean continuous reaction and it would reflect that this project could continue for years to come.
