Yesterday I was at the Discrete booth at Broadcast Asia and saw the
demo on 3ds max 6. They were showing how easy it is to create water
surface, waves, ripples and waves hitting the shore. He created a
character to wade thru the water with ripples behind him.

Can LW do the same or better? I'm considering to learn LW.

For a user group that is so new and only 19 members, the attendence
is not too shabby, 16% attendence.  I think most user here are not
exclusively using Lightwave, or some are like me, just hobbyists.

The lightwave screening was quite a err.... wash out. Only 3 out of
the 6 who registered came. as a result I'd like to know what I can
improve in order to attract more people.

Hello everyone!

Mindworks is having a FREE screening of Lightwave 3D created
animations and stills.

It will be held at Mindworks school of Infocomm on the 30th of May
2004 (Sunday).

The aim of this screening is to attract all Singaporean Lightwave
users and those interested in Lightwave.

Here's the program:

It begins at 1pm and for the first 30 Mins, Lightwave animations and
stills from both local and international artists.

The next 40 mins will be a Lightwave 3D Demo where the interface of
LW will be shown creating a simple scene render.

The next 2 hours will be networking time! A time to talk and discuss
3D and LW related stuff!
